Uncle Kracker’s debut album, Double Wide, was recorded at the back of the tour bus during Kid Rock’s cross-country treks with Limp Bizkit and Metallica. Kid Rock and the members of Twisted Brown Trucker — including keyboardist Jimmie Bones, guitarists Kenny Olson and Jason Krause and drummer Stefanie Eulinberg — all paid visits to the makeshift studio in order to contribute. Kid Rock dropped one of his trademark raps on “Heaven.” The easy going first single, “Follow Me,” dominated pop radio in 2000. In 2002, Kracker released No Stranger to Shame, which boasted another radio hit, a cover of Dobie Gray’s “Drift Away.” Uncle Kracker’s album Seventy Two and Sunny arrived in 2004. Uncle Kracker’s fourth studio album, Happy Hour, was released in 2009. The first single from the album, “Smile,” was released in July 2009 and peaked at #31 on the Billboard Hot 100. “Smile” also became his first solo entry on the Hot Country Songs chart, where it debuted at #57 and peaked at #6 in September 2010. Uncle Kracker’s six song EP, Happy Hour: The South River Road Sessions, was released in June 2010. The EP features country remakes of songs off the Happy Hour album. He dropped the album Midnight Special in 2012. Uncle Kracker continues to perform all over the world.
